B.C. HIGHLIGHTS: British Columbia’s population grew by 0.35% between July1st and October 1st, rising to 4,638,825. During the thirdquarter of 2012, B.C. gained a total of 12,356 persons as aresult of net migration from all sources. This was slightlylower than the 14,887 migrants in the third quarter of 2011.However, while net migration from other jurisdictions inCanada dropped substantially relative to the same quarterlast year, net international migration was down only slightly(from 15,689 in the third quarter of 2011, to 15,104persons over the same period in 2012).
